All the animals I have had of my own are hamsters - they are adorable and wonderful pets to have. You can get all sorts of things for hamsters like a ball, a fun house and lots more.

Speedy

Speedy was my first ever hamster. I had speedy for only 2 years and the reason why he died was because this idiot boy called Jordan thought he was the best and said he could get Speedy out of his cage without an adult being present. He let the hamster out, dropped it, and the hamster ran away and was lost for a week. One day my mum was downstairs in the kitchen and all of a sudden she shouted “Lynsey”. I came down the stairs and looked at my mum - she was holding my hamster which had been found in the sink. The next day it died, probably of shock.

Snowflake

Snowflake was my second hamster. She was white with a grey stripe down her back and was the same kind of hamster as Speedy, a Russian dwarf. I had snowflake until she was two and that is a good age for a hamster. Snowflake nearly died in a very painful way and I will tell you what happened. Snowflake was out of her cage and in her ball for some good exercise. I went downstairs to get a drink. When I had finished my drink I started to walk upstairs. All of a sudden I heard a scream then my cat nelix came running downstairs. Joshua, my brother, had taken the hamster out of its ball and didn’t know the cat was there. As soon as Snowflake was out of the ball he realized that the cat was in my bedroom. Joshua didn’t know where to put snowflake so he put her on the floor. The cat got her and ran downstairs past me with Snowflake in his mouth. I ran into the kitchen and took the hamster from the cat. It was alright except it had a massive chunk of skin taken away. We stopped the bleeding and let her rest. She was very lucky to be alive then but she died two weeks later of a bad eye infection.

Alfie

Alfie was my third hamster. He lived to the age of two and was a Russian dwarf hamster. He was grey and white.

He was a lovely hamster and was very tame. He died of a fright because I have a cat and I think she frightened him. I buried him in the back garden.

Peanut

Peanut was my fourth hamster. He was three and he died of old age. He was a golden coloured hamster with a white belly and a few more parts of his body were white. He was a Syrian hamster and was the biggest hamster I have ever had.

Tigger

Tigger is my fifth hamster. She is grey with a white belly. She is a Russian dwarf hamster and is two this year. She is very tame but if you stick your finger through the cage she will think it is food and will try and bite it.
